Day 1: Pick-up and Transfer to Kidepo Valley National Park
Following an early breakfast, your driver guide will pick you up from your hotel in Entebbe or Kampala and drive you northeast to Kidepo Valley National Park. But before that, he will brief you about your 7-Enjoy the scenic drive to Kidepo with magnificent views of landscapes. Stop in Gulu for late lunch before continuing to the park in the evening. On arrival in the Park, drive to your lodge and check in. Optional night game drive to see nocturnal animals is available. Dinner and overnight
Day 2: Game Drive & Hot Springs
Early in the morning, transfer to Narus Valley for excellent game viewing. Expect to come across Elephants, cheetahs, buffaloes, giraffes, lions, leopards, bush duikers, jackals, bush pigs, water bucks, warthogs, jackals, mountain reedbuck, Kuddus, Caracal, and spotted hyenas, etc. In addition, the valley is home to the famous ostriches, providing an additional opportunity to make your safari memorable. Return to the lodge for a late breakfast and later lunch.
In the afternoon, take to the Kanangorok hot springs in the park's northern sector, near the Kidepo River. Enjoy the magical views of the hot springs, amidst the experience of making tea and boiling eggs. Furthermore, locals can be found bathing in the healing waters of the hot springs. Return to your lodge for dinner and a night's sleep.
Day 3: Visit the Manyatta Cultural Village
Transfer to Kotido after breakfast to visit the Manyata cultural village of the Karamojong, the world's largest cultural village. Interact with Karamojong locals in their Manyattas, participate in cultural practices, and learn more about their unique cultures and traditions. After that, return to your lodge and have lunch. Then, check out and transfer to Pian Upe Wildlife Reserve. Dinner and overnight stay in Pian Upe
Day 4: Transfer to Pian Upe Game Reserve – Community Visit
After breakfast, you will go on a cultural community tour to learn about the ways of the people who live here. Through performances, traditional dances, and the raiding of cattle, you will learn about their traditional marriages and weddings. Return to your lodge for lunch.
In the afternoon, go for a sunset game drive. Expect to see antelopes such as the roan antelope, zebras, buffaloes, dik-dik, jackals, cheetahs, and a variety of savannah birds, as well as Ostriches
Day 5: Morning Game drive – Transfer to Sipi Falls
Today after early breakfast, you will go on a guided morning game drive. Keep an eye out for early risers, such as the hunting cheetah. Other animals to keep an eye out for include jackals, roan antelopes, zebras, buffaloes, dik-dik, hyenas, baboons, patas monkeys, and many more. Drive back to your lodge.
After lunch, check out of your lodge and transfer to Sipi Falls. You will arrive in the evening and check into your lodge. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 6: Explore Sipi Falls
Awake early, have breakfast, and transfer for a hike to explore Sipi Falls, a series of three waterfalls. Located at the edge of Mount Elgon, the three falls lie at different altitudes of 100, 85, and 75 meters, respectively. Follow a slick network of trails while hiking on soaked ladders. The trail will take more than 4 hours to complete. Because the hike is steep and the trails are slick, a hiking stick is essential. The top of the falls provides breathtaking views of Mt Elgon, the park, and neighboring communities. Dinner and overnight.
Day 7: Travel back to Kampala
Today is the last day of your Uganda safari. After breakfast, you will be transferred to Kampala via impressive views of Eastern Uganda. On arrival in Kampala, you will be transferred to your connecting flight at Entebbe International Airport. This is the end of your 7-day Kidepo Valley, Pian Upe, and Sipi
