Tour overview
Our 12-day safari to the North Western Uganda takes us to the land of the Big 5; seeing Rhinos in Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary and Lions, Elephants, Buffalos and Leopards at Murchison Falls National Park. We shall also enjoy a Nile cruise to Bottom of the falls which is quite interesting, Chimpanzee tracking in Kibale National Park and Gorilla tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

DAY 1: ARRIVAL AT ENTEBBE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
You will be welcomed by our representative, who will transfer you to your hotel in Kampala. Depending on the time of arrival, our guide will take you on a city tour for an exciting introduction Uganda. Visit some interesting and historical sites like Mosques, Churches, Uganda Museum and African Craft Village to souvenirs. We advise you to have local currency (Uganda Shillings) on your while on this City tour. Dinner and overnight Kampala.
DAY 2: KAMPALA – ZZIWA RHINO SANCTUARY – MURCHISION FALLS NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast, we shall board our safari vehicle to the North Western part of Uganda, we shall pass through the famous Luwero triangle to Nakasongola District, stopping at Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary to track Rhinos (Kindly note that this sanctuary is the only place in Uganda where you can see Rhinos in the wild since they we poached to extinction). Lunch and then continue to Murchison Falls National Park.
DAY 3: AM GAME DRIVE AND PM BOAT CRUISE IN MURCHSION FALLS NATIONAL PARK
Early morning, we shall go with our packed breakfast for a game drive passing through Tangi Gate to the northern bank to see a range of wild animals which makes it the highlight of our safari. While o this game drive, we hope to see 4 big 5s like Buffalos, Lions, leopards and, Elephants with many more animals like giraffes, kobs and variety of bird species. We shall have a picnic breakfast then drive to Paraa Safari Lodge for lunch and in the afternoon, we shall do a Nile cruise to the bottom of the falls. Expect to see animals we missed to see on a game drive since they come to the river banks to drink water. At the bottom we shall leave the boat and hike to the Top of the falls to see the Mighty River being squeezed in a Seven Meter Gorge which forms rainbow and causes rain to drop at this place all the time, after that we shall find our driver and return to Safari Lodge for dinner and overnight stay in Murchison Falls National Park.
DAY 4: MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK - KIBALE FOREST NATIONAL PARK.
Early morning, after breakfast we shall depart for Kibale Forest National Park in the western part of Uganda and which is known for 13 primate species. It will take approximately 3-4 hours to reach Fort Portal; the Tourism City. We shall proceed to Kibale National Park, taking a scenic drive through the crater lakes region arriving in time for a late lunch on then lodge ground. Taking the evening to rest and relax. Dinner and overnight in Kibale National Park.
DAY 5: TRACKING CHIMPANEES IN KIBALE FOREST NATIONAL PARK.
After breakfast, we shall drive to the Uganda Wildlife Authority Headquarters for a briefing from our Chimp guide for the day and then we enter the Forest in Search of the Chimps. Kibale Forest is known for harboring the 13 different species of Primates in Africa, once we find them, we shall take their phots. After the trek we shall travel back to our lodge for Lunch and evening at leisure. Dinner and overnight in Kibale Forest National Park.
DAY 6: FROM KIBALE FOREST NATIONAL PARK - QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK.
After a warm Breakfast we shall drive towards the south western part of Uganda to Queen Elizabeth National Park which is the most visited National Park in Uganda. It will take approximately 2hrs before arriving in the park, just in time for an early lunch. We shall check in, rest, dinner and overnight stay in Queen Elizabeth National Park.
DAY 7: AM GAME DRIVE AND PM BOAT CRUISE IN QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK.
At the park, early morning, wake up take a cup of tea and head for the thrilling game drive at 6:00am. Game to view include Lions, Elephants, Leopards, Buffalos, Hyenas and a variety of Antelope species. After lunch enjoy the unique 2-hour boat ride on the Kazinga Channel. You will have a chance to view Hippos at close range, watch a variety of bird species and there after drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight in Queen Elizabeth National Park.
DAY 8: QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK BWINDI IMPENETRABLE
Early morning set off to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. We shall pass the southern sector of the park, called Ishasha, known for the tree-climbing lions and here we should expect to see some of the lions resting on the tree branches. We shall then proceed to Bwindi as we exit the beautiful Queen Elizabeth National Park, arriving in early evening. Dinner and overnight in Bwindi.
DAY 9: BWINDI IMPENETRABLE FOREST NATIONAL PARK
In the morning after breakfast, we shall assemble for briefing according to the gorilla group we are going to trek/track. We shall be walked through the dos and don’ts of tracking these adorable giants. This activity is one of highlights of our safari, meeting with the gentle giants of Bwindi, is an exciting experience as you trek through the beautiful ecosystem of the park. It is difficult to foresee how many hours you will hike; it may take two to eight hours. Expect to walk a long distance in steep and muddy conditions, sometimes with rain overhead, before you encounter the gorillas. But once you find these creatures, it is very rewarding and interesting as you observe them closely while they eat, play and rest. A unique and unforgettable experience! For conservation purposes, time spent with the gorillas is limited to one hour. After the trek we return to lodge for lunch and evening at leisure. Dinner and overnight at Bwindi.
DAY 10: FROM BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK - KAMPALA
In the morning after a relaxed breakfast, you will travel back to Kampala. On the way back to the city, you will have stopover for lunch in Mbarara and then second stopover will be at the Equator for craft/souvenirs shopping, arriving in Kampala late in the evening. Check-in in your Hotel, refresh and then go enjoy Kampala’s night life. Overnight in Kampala.
DAY 11: KAMPALA - JINJA ADVENTURE CITY
After breakfast we drive to the Eastern part of the country passing through Mabira Tropical Rain Forest finally arriving in Jinja Adventure City. We shall go participate on a boat cruise on the Nile to see the real Point of the Source of the Nile, after that we can choose to do either Tubing the Nile, Bungee Jumping, Water Slides and white-water Rafting on the Nile. Once we are with the desired activities, we shall transfer back to Kampala for Dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 12: KAMPALA - AIRPORT
Enriched with an experience of a lifetime and unforgettable memories you will say goodbye to the Pearl of Africa. Depending on the time of departure you will be transferred to the Airport for your flight back home. We are looking forward to seeing you again.
