A safari in Uganda is not complete without a visit to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, Queen Elizabeth National Park, Murchison Falls National Park and Kidepo Valley National Park which are the most visited National Parks in Uganda by tourists.
Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park is known for Mountain Gorillas and Queen Elizabeth National Park has a diverse ecosystem which includes a sprawling savanna, sparkling lakes, humid forests, fertile wetlands which makes it a suitable home for over 600 species of birds, outstanding wildlife attractions like tree climbing lions, chimpanzees among others.
Queen Elizabeth National Park is set against the beautiful sceneries of the Rwenzori Mountain and the panoramic view of Kazinga channel.
Murchison Falls National Park is the largest protected area in Uganda with a lot of animals and most powerful and magnificent water falls in the World.
Kidepo Valley National Park with its welcoming savanna vegetation is Uganda’s most natural and untapped National game park and is the only National Park associated with Cheetahs.

DAY 1: ARRIVAL AT ENTEBBE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT – LAKE MBURO NATIONAL PARK
You will be welcomed by an experienced driver-guide from Friends Nature Safaris on your arrival at the airport, then drive to Lake Mburo National Park which is a 4-hour drive from Kampala on Kampala-Masaka main road, with a stopover at the Equator for lunch, photoshoot and craft shopping, then continue to Lake Mburo National Park. Upon arrival, you will check into your rooms, then head out for a PM boat cruise on Lake Mburo. Dinner and overnight stay in Lake Mburo National Park
DAY 2: KAMPALA – BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK
Early morning, we shall do a safari walk around the park to see animals like Giraffes, Kobs, Zebras and many more as they return to their respective dens. Have breakfast and set off to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. We shall drive via a scenic route as we watch the savanna vegetation, the long horn Ankole cattle and the green countryside. We shall have lunch enroute, arriving in Bwindi late in the evening. Check into your room, dinner and overnight stay in Bwindi.
DAY 3: BWINDI IMPENETRABLE FOREST NATIONAL PARK
In the morning after breakfast, we shall assemble for a briefing according to the gorilla family/group which we are going to trek/track as we get to know the dos and don’ts of tracking the mountain gorillas. This activity is one of the highlights of our safari. Meeting with the gentle giants of Bwindi is quite exciting and memorable, especially for hikers who love gorilla trekking in the beautiful ecosystems. It is difficult to foresee how many hours you will hike; it may take two to eight hours. Expect to walk a long distance in steep and muddy conditions, sometimes with rain overhead, before you encounter any gorillas. Once you find these creatures, it is very rewarding and interesting as you observe them closely while they eat, play and rest; This is a unique and unforgettable experience!
For conservation purposes; time spent with the gorillas is limited to one hour. The ranger guide will make you know this beforehand. After the trek we return to the lodge for lunch and evening at leisure. Dinner and overnight stay in Bwindi.
DAY 4: BWINDI IMPENETRABLE TO QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast you can choose to have a guided village walk for a closer meeting with the local community. Learn about their way of living as you walk through coffee, tea and banana plantations. Afterwards we depart to Queen Elizabeth National Park. We will pass the southern sector of the park, called Ishasha and known for the tree-climbing lions and here we expect to see some of the lions resting on the tree branches. While we continue to our accommodation in the middle of the national park. Be alert to spot some wildlife like kobs, waterbucks and warthogs while grazing. Dinner and overnight in Queen Elizabeth National Park.
DAY 5: AM GAME DRIVE AND PM LAUNCH BOAT CRUISE IN QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK.
At the park, early morning, wake up take a cup of tea and head for the thrilling game drive at 6:00am. Game to view include but not limited to Lions, Elephants, Leopards, Buffalos, Hyenas and a variety of Antelope species. After lunch enjoy the unique 2-hour boat ride on the Kazinga Channel. You will have the chance to view Hippos at close range, other bird species and thereafter drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight in Queen Elizabeth National Park.
DAY 6: TRANSFER TO MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK.
Today, you will wake up very early and drive straight to Murchison Falls National Park, on the north western part of Uganda. This park is the largest park with an area of 3840sqKM. It will take approximately 9-10 hours on road with a stopover at Lake Albert to view the Albertine Rift Valley. From here we shall continue to Bugungu Gate with a chance of seeing some animals on our way to the lodge; animals you should you expect to see include Buffalos, Lions, Giraffes, Kobs and many more. DAY 7: AM GAME DRIVE AND PM NILE CRUISE IN MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK
Early morning with packed breakfast. We shall go for an interesting game drive with an opportunity to see many animals such as Elephants, Buffalos, Giraffes, Lions, Uganda Kobs and many others, if we are lucky, we might chance spotting the world ‘s rarest shoebill stork at the down side of the stream during our game drive, Break breakoff for lunch. After lunch we go for the amazing Nile cruise to the bottom of the mighty falls with Hippos, Crocodiles, and other animals alongside the river drinking water to spot. The boat will stop at the actual point where you can clearly see the mighty Nile squeezing into a 7-meter gorge for photo shots. Thereafter, we retire at the lodge for dinner and overnight stay in Murchison Falls National Park.
DAY 8: MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK - KIDEPO VALLEY NATIONAL PARK
After morning breakfast, we visit top of the Falls to see the mighty Nile being squeezed into a small gorge which creates thunder storm and rain in this place. With this short stopover, we shall drive towards the Northern part of the Country, arriving in Kidepo Valley National Park through LOKOMOTI gate. Dinner and overnight on Kidepo Valley National Park.
DAY 9: KIDEPO VALLEY NATIONAL PARK
After a morning breakfast, embark on our safari vehicle for a Game Drive on the following trucks/Trails Boma, Kakeine, Buffalo, Nogosokopire, and expect to see animals like Cape Buffalos. Lions, Cheetahs, White Eared Kobs, Ostrich, Common Elands among others. In the afternoon, we shall visit LOLUKULO community to know more about their social life, Economic life, who are known for Cattle keeping. After this community indulgence, we shall do a game drive on our way back to our lodge. Dinner and overnight stay in Kidepo Valley National Park
DAY 10: KIDEPO VALLEY NATIONAL PARK TO ZIWA RHINO SANCTUARY
After morning breakfast, we exit Kidepo Valley National and drive to Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary through Gulu to track the White Rhinos in their Natural Habitat. Have lunch and then take the evening to relax at leisure. Dinner and overnight stay in Zziwa Rhin Sanctuary
DAY 11: ZZIWA RHINO SANTUARY - KAMPALA/ENTEBBE
After morning breakfast, we do shall go track the Rhinos on Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary ground, Game viewing and Birding around, then after lunch we shall transfer to either Kampala or Entebbe for overnight stay.
DAY 12: KAMPALA/ENTEBBE TO AIRPORT
After breakfast depending on the time of your flight, whether in the evening or at night, we can do an excursion during the day before going to the Airport, then transfer to the Airport.
